Chocolate Chip Cookies with Freshly Milled Flour

Ingredients
- 1/2 cups butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups freshly ground flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees farenheit.
- In a stand mixer, mix together your butter, sugar, and egg until creamy and the sugar is no longer gritty.
- Mix your remaining ingredients, except for your chocolate chips. Do not overmix.
- Gently mix in your chocolate chips.
- Divide the dough into smooth rounded balls and place evenly on a baking sheet.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-13 minutes, or until the cookies no longer look "wet" but golden brown in the center.
- After removing from the oven, leave the cookies on the baking sheet for 1-3 minutes before removing to allow them to firm up and not fall apart while transferring to a wire cooling rack.
